These mugs work equally well for hot or cold beverages. I went looking for replacements for some old plastic mugs that came from various places like the local gas & gulp. Most of the old ones were not insulated, but these are foam insulated between an inner & outer shell.
They are only used occasionally for coffee or other hot drinks, I use them mostly for keeping ice water cold while working outdoors in summer. Regular bottled water gets warm well before I can drink it all. So using these insulated mugs keeps the water cold longer, and they can be filled from the tap, keeping untold numbers of empty water bottles out of circulation.
