I've only had this for 2 months now. haven't had trouble with the lock jamming or whatnot so far. works fine and extends/retracts smoothly. my pevious club did not have the auto lock and you could separate the two halves, which i preferred because you could use the hollow end as a lever around a tire iron in case you get a flat, or use both ends as weapons instead of one heavy cumbersome object. also you have to unlock it to shorten it if you accidentally lengthen it before placing it on the wheel. but i supose youd have to insert the key anyway with the old club everytime to lock it
i give it 5 stars because it is functioning normally and fulfils expectations. it's not going to stop a car thief who knows how to pick locks, but is an added visual deterrent. i don't know how effective it is. i have not found any statistics or retrospective analyses. almost none of my friends use a club and find it amusing. however my family has been using it as long as i can remember so now that i have my own car i decided to use one too
It's a long, thick hunk of hardened steel that attaches to your steering wheel. It simply provides a visual deterrent to a thief and encourages them to move on. If they REALLY want to take your car, they will. However, it works great for me. Don't be a grub, get the Club!!
