I have had a pair of these for around 5 years and have hauled everything with these christmas trees, doors, mattresses, even a 2 wheeled horse cart (several hundred miles). I use plenty of tie downs and reccomend a fore to aft tie down for large flat loads (doors/mattresses) or long distances. I have replaced the plastic pads with thicker shelf padding cut to fit since the pads have been lost. Other than that, no problems.
