Updated Review:
I took my bike to a local shop, and the guy trimmed the padding to make it fit properly around my handlebar. He wasn't able to use the pads that came with it without altering them, which I think is kinda bunk, but it is great now that it's installed securely. Very happy with the final outcome and would recommend it - just be prepared for a not-so-smooth installation. Also, it can be a bit of a challenge finding a tumbler that's tapered to fit the holder and has a no-spill top, but I found a good "Click to Sip" tumbler at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf (a coffee chain in CA, TX, AZ, NV, & HI).
Old Review:
Every little bump, and it came looser and looser as I rode. I ended up tightening the screw every couple minutes, and eventually my coffee tumbler fell onto the road.
I think it's a design flaw: the screw has a uniform flat head (so it can't be tightened with a screwdriver), and threads through a triangle-shaped plastic bit for finger-tightening. The idea is that the triangular bit becomes the head of the screw; however, the triangular head slides along the screw during install, making it very hard to get it tight enough. When I installed it, I used the thickening pad around the handle bar and used a wrench on the triangular head, but it failed nonetheless.
Maybe mine is defective or something, but what a waste. Very disappointed.Get more detail about Topline Bar Hopper Drink Holder.
