Not sure how it's going to hold up, but heated a cup of water in about 5 minutes.
This was tested on a solar system with heavy gauge wiring to the female plug. Voltage at the plug was over 14 volts. In a car with small wires and voltage, heating probably will take longer.Get more detail about Wagan EL9878 12 Volt CarPot Hot Water Heater.
