My Jack Russell mix terrier has always liked to ride on my lap. But with a new baby on the way I need to change the rules! He likes the skybox so far, and even gets into it on his own. He is a little over 14 lbs. and about 14 inches tall (long legs). This booster seat supports his weight no problem and the sides are just barely tall enough to surround him well. He actually likes it! It is big enough on the inside for him to lay down with his chin on the side to look outside. The skybox seems very well made with the metal frame and cushy pad in the bottom. It was a piece of cake to install in the backseat of my Toyota Camry. I just released the back seat latch to lean the seat forward and attached the strap around the seat (the strap goes behind the seat within the trunk compartment no problem) and I have headrests in the back too.
