When I took this "Gel" seat out of the box, I noticed that it wasn't the Gel material I had invisioned. The gel seat on my bike and the gel insoles I wear are made of a soft, squishy rubber. This seat (I didn't disect it) feels like a stiff piece of foam. I'm a long haul driver and sitting in comfort is important. The taper of this seat cushion tilted my hips causing lower back pain. Co-driver tried it and hated it within two hours. It would be ok for a bleacher pad and I think would be great for anyone with a sore "tail bone" and the fold up / easy carry design is good.
